Privacy Policy

1. Introduction
BTDT Adventures, LLC ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the BTDT Adventures mobile application ("App"). Please read this policy carefully. By using the App, you consent to the practices described here.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
• Account information: name, email address, password
• Profile information: RV type, RV name/model
• Trip data: trip titles, dates, starting locations, destinations, notes
• Photos and images you upload
• Voice memos and audio recordings
• Payment information (processed by Apple App Store or Google Play; we do not store card details)
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
• GPS and location data when you log trips or take photos
• Device information: device type, operating system, unique device identifiers
• Usage data: features used, screens visited, session duration
• Log data: IP address, error reports, app crash data
2.3 Information from Third Parties
• If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email address from those providers
• Location data enriched through mapping service providers
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
• Provide, operate, and maintain the App and its features
• Create and manage your account
• Process subscription payments
• Generate AI-powered trip summaries and recommendations
• Enable trip sharing and social export features
• Show relevant RV park and campground suggestions near your destination
• Improve and develop new features
• Send service-related communications (account updates, security alerts)
• Send optional marketing communications (you may opt out at any time)
• Comply with legal obligations
4. Photo Data and RV Park Partner Marketing
4.1 How Photos Are Used. Photos you upload are stored securely and used to enhance your trip experience within the App. With your consent (opt-out basis), photos may also be used in partner marketing as described below.
4.2 AI People-Detection Filtering. Before any photo is shared with an RV park partner, we run automated AI screening to detect and exclude photos containing identifiable individuals, faces, or personally identifying information. Only photos that pass this screening (landscapes, RVs, scenery) are eligible for partner use.
4.3 Geographic Matching. Photos are only shared with the Park Partner whose location matches the GPS coordinates recorded when your photo was taken.
4.4 Your Control. Partner photo sharing is enabled by default. You may opt out at any time in Settings > Privacy > Partner Photo Sharing. This setting does not affect your core App experience.
5. Location Data
Location data is central to BTDT Adventures' core features. We collect location information:
• When you create or log a trip
• When you take photos within the App
• When you search for campgrounds near your destination
Location data is stored with your trip records and associated photos. We do not sell your precise location data to third parties. Aggregated, anonymized location trends may be used to improve destination recommendations.
You can control location permissions through your device settings. Disabling location access will limit certain features including campground discovery and photo geo-tagging.
6. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:
6.1 Service Providers. We share information with trusted third-party vendors who assist us in operating the App, including cloud storage (Supabase), AI processing, and analytics. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information.
6.2 RV Park Partners. AI-screened, people-free photos may be shared with verified Park Partners as described in Section 4. No personally identifying information is shared with Park Partners.
6.3 Legal Requirements. We may disclose your information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of BTDT Adventures, our users, or the public.
6.4 Business Transfers. In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or substantially all of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or in-app notice of any such change.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law or for legitimate business purposes such as dispute resolution.
Photos associated with Park Partner agreements may be retained for the duration of the applicable partnership agreement following account deletion, after which they will be permanently removed.
8. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will promptly delete it. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us.
10. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
• Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
• Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information
• Portability: Request your data in a portable format
• Opt-out of marketing: Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time
• Opt-out of partner photo sharing: Settings > Privacy > Partner Photo Sharing

11. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete your personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. 12. Third-Party Links and Services
The App may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party services (Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In, campground booking platforms). This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any information.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice in the App or by emailing you at the address associated with your account at least 14 days before changes take effect. Your continued use of the App after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
